The Oliva Nova golf course is located between Denia and Oliva, set in unbeatable surroundings of wild dunes, and with the huge advantage of being right on the beachfront. The course is one of Seve Ballesteros' recent creations. It is on the southernmost point of the coastline of Valencia and consists of an 18-hole course which is superbly maintained and a layout that is extremely varied. There are opportunities for all kinds of players as there are short, medium and long holes. The course has a par of 72 and is made up of four par-3s, four par-5s and ten par-4s, that runs over gentle terrain that is easy to walk, and is shaded by countless trees. It tends to take about four hours to play. With all of its challenges, water is a constant feature of this course as it is present at every hole, except the 2nd, 13th and 14th. Oliva Nova Golf is a course on which the right club, and playing strategy, is important for every shot. Access to the course is via the A-7 motorway, Exit 61 for Oliva

Other courses in the Valencia region are El Saler, which hosted the 2001 Spanish Open. El Bosque, designed by Robert Trent Jones and has hosted a number of golfing Championships. There is also the Escorpion, Manises, Panoramica and Mediterraneo courses, which are approx 2 hours drive away.

Course: 18 holes, 6473yd, par 72, SSS 71 (Yellow Tees). La Sella is a delightful course. José Maria Olazábal advised on the design and has produced a layout that is both exciting and challenging. It is set within a valley of trees that line most of the fairways, the course presents some excellent driving situations and fast greens. The 6th hole is the course's most memorable, with a shoot between trees that leads to a narrow fairway. The font nine are as good as you could wish for, both sporty and picturesque. The back nine is newer and more open, with stunning views of the mountains. Some cavernous, well-placed bunkers protect the greens and fairways. Almond, orange and grapefruit trees line the fairways and players are welcome to pick the fruit from the trees. Facilities include, 5star Marriot Hotel and Spa, clubhouse, driving range, buggy hire, electric trolley hire, pitching and putting greens, practice bunker, club rental, pro-shop, restaurant, bar, showers and sauna.

Other courses in the Alicante region are Oliva Nova, an 18 hole course that was designed by Seve Ballesteros, approx 15 to 20 minute drive away. Javea and Don Cayo, which are both 9 hole courses within half an hours drive. El Plantio, Alicante Golf, Bonalba and Alenda, which are about 1.5 hours away.
